Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 01
Arrival in Zhangjiajie & 72 Wonder Towers
Arrive in Zhangjiajie by high-speed rail; welcome and dinner. Evening at the 72 Wonder Towers — layer upon layer of Tujia stilted houses, folk performances and a dazzling night light show. Optional: Fox Fairy of Tianmen Mountain outdoor show.
Day 02
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — Yuanjiajie & Tianzi Mountain
Explore Yuanjiajie, walk through the natural stone bridge and ride the Bailong Elevator for bird's-eye views, then eco-bus to Tianzi Mountain for panoramas over the Wulingyuan peak forest. Optional evening: the Charming Xiangxi folk show.
Day 03
Baofeng Lake, Tianmen Mountain → Fenghuang
Morning boat ride on Baofeng Lake, the 'Jade Pool on Earth'. Afternoon at Tianmen Mountain — the world's longest mountain cableway, Tianmen Cave, the Glass Skywalk and the Ghost Valley plank road. Continue to Fenghuang for a Tuo River boat ride past stilted houses and ancient city walls, then the bar street and Fenghuang by night.
Day 04
Fenghuang Ancient Town & Departure
Morning in Fenghuang Ancient Town — stilted houses, Rainbow Bridge, Wanming Pagoda and the ancient walls — with a complimentary Miao costume experience. After lunch, return to Zhangjiajie for your train or flight.
